CULTURAL AND SPORTS EVENTS IN TINOS

Tinos Food Paths - May 13th to 19th 2020

Tinos Food Paths is a culinary festival that promotes local products and recipes. It takes place from May 13 to May 19 and it hosts demonstrations from chefs from all over Greece that transform Tinos famous ingredients into special dishes: artichokes, potatoes, louza, honey, just to name a few. Special rates available for participants.

Tinos World Music Festival - May 25th-27th 2020

Founded in 2013, it brings together musicians from the Balkans and the East Mediterranean. It usually takes place at the beginning of June.

Tinos Festival - June to September

A series of unforgettable performances, concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events. It runs throughout the summer with a rich and exclusive programme carefully put together by Mr. Themis Rodamitis

Tinos Running Experience - June 8th 2020

A 1Km, 5km 10Km and half marathon race through the beauties of Tinos island, organized by “Running in Greece“. There is a special race also for kids and a pasta party for athletes the day before the race. The day after an excursion around Tinos is usually organized.

11th Jazz on Tinos- August 24-25-26 2020

A jazz music festival with free concerts from Greek and international musicians. It takes place every year in the last week of August, in the port of Tinos. It is mainly funded by the Cultural Foundation of Tinos.

RELIGIOUS CELEBRATIONS

Greek Easter

Holy week in Tinos is full of events and processions. Not to miss the Epitaph of Saint Nicholas going into the sea in the port of Tinos and the resurrection celebrations at one of Tinos many churches. The gastronomic part of course follows: roasted lambs at every corner, cheese-based pastries, colored eggs
